The 173-yard 9th

The 173-yard 9th (166 yards from the yellow tee and 161 yards from the winter mat) has a duckpond ahead just yards from the tee. Known as the Sunset hole, it is a par 3 with a stroke index of 14. It is a difficult hole to putt on as the green is two-tier.

All golfers at Woodford must wear a significant item of clothing (e.g. shirt, jumper, trousers) which is bright red — either scarlet or pillar box red — to conform with Corporation of London rules. Golfers must also not wear T-shirts, jeans, trainers or sports shoes on the course.
