The view from 7th tee

The view from 7th white tee of the 272-yard hole (265 yards from the yellow tee and 260 yards from the winter mat) called the Punch Bowl. A par 4 with a stroke index of 18, the approach is slightly dog-leg to the left. There are bushes on the left side of the fairway and thick rough on the right side.

Note later that the 16th tee approaches the green from a radically different angle and is some 130 yards distant from the 7th tee.

Red alert

All golfers at Woodford must wear a significant item of clothing (e.g. shirt, jumper, trousers) which is bright red — either scarlet or pillar box red — to conform with Corporation of London rules. Golfers must also not wear T-shirts, jeans, trainers or sports shoes on the course.
