The 4th and 13th

The view from 4th tee on the 330-yard Woodside hole (335 yards from the winter mat), which has a par of 4 and stroke index of 8. After the initial 180 yards of uphill fairway, there are trees and ditches across the fairway leading to a deep valley before the green.

The 13th plays from an adjacent tee, but on the second circuit, the stroke index is 9.

Red alert

All golfers at Woodford must wear a significant item of clothing (e.g. shirt, jumper, trousers) which is bright red — either scarlet or pillar box red — to conform with Corporation of London rules. Golfers must also not wear T-shirts, jeans, trainers or sports shoes on the course.
