The 16th tee

The 16th tee on the Punch Bowl is a 287-yard par 4 from the white tee (270 yards from the yellow tee and 268 yards from the winter mat) with a stroke index of 17. The route to the green is over the clump of bushes straight ahead.

The tee is not marked on the course layout, nor on the map. It is reached by walking on 130 yards from the 7th tee, on a path through the forest, then across a bridle path before swinging right to the tee.

All golfers at Woodford must wear a significant item of clothing (e.g. shirt, jumper, trousers) which is bright red — either scarlet or pillar box red — to conform with Corporation of London rules. Golfers must also not wear T-shirts, jeans, trainers or sports shoes on the course.
