Visitors are welcome to play at Woodford, one of the oldest golf courses in Essex, at most times throughout the week, to play 9 or 18 holes. There are some restrictions on playing times, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, and on most Saturdays until after about 3.30pm. We are currently running an offer until the 31st March 2012 where you can play 9 holes after 2:00pm for £9.00. Also on all green fees there is a 25% discount in the bar. Handicap certificates are not required. Green fees should be paid to the professional before beginning a round. Failing that, the secretary's office and the bar will gladly accept payment . The pro shop and bar can now accept card payments (as can the office if the pro shop is closed: weekday mornings only).
Visitors have the courtesy of the club house on the day of playing, and can use the changing facilities and the bar. Societies are welcome.

Winter rules in force
From Saturday 30th October 2011, winter rules begin. You may pick, wipe and place the ball (having marked it first). This applies to anywhere on the fairway. The ball must be placed within 6 inches of the marker, not nearer the hole.

Monday-Friday
£18 for 18 holes, £12 for 9
Sat, Sun & Bank Holidays
£20 for 18 holes, £14 for 9 holes

Associate Membership Scheme

Dress Code
On the course, golfers must wear a major item of bright red (i.e scarlet/pillar-box red top or trousers) to comply with Epping Forest regulations. No shirts without collars, please, or denim jeans. Golf shoes must be worn-no trainers. In the clubhouse, no golf shoes or dirty/soiled clothing. Otherwise, dress is smart casual (no tee shirts, denim jeans or trainers) please.
