Although classified as a short par 5, positioning is crucial to play this hole well. The tee shot should favour the left hand side of the fairway to avoid the left-to-right camber, while the second shot should also hug the left-hand side of the fairway setting up a clear view to the green, as there is a small right-hand dog-leg at the end. The green is shaped like an inverted saucer, so an approach shot short of the flag can result in the ball running to the right and off the front of the green. The 7th tee is through the path on the right of the green.
